This article is really interesting. I do think I'd try eating bugs (bug flour for example) before going to other animal based flesh foods.

With prices like this, Waan & I need to get into the harvesting business with the Thai giant water bug. We could be sitting on a goldmine living in Thailand!!!

Hi,

It looks like "Tug-ka-tan" to me, it's giant grasshopper. I tried it before though. You can see it all over in Bangkok on the fried-bug cart.

People collect it from rice paddy for free.
